Assan engineering are one of the few companies building Tanks/silos on the clients site, this reduces the clients cost per vessel as there are no shipping costs.
Assan built 2 Spent Grain silos on site for the Great Northern Distillery, these 2 silos were constructed in Bands/cones rolled on site, welded together leaving 2 sections to be welded together while being suspended from a crane.
The mild steel frames were also constructed on site prior to a 3 week shutdown.The existing frames/silos were removed,we then installed the new frames/supports before attaching the silos.
The cones were put in place first on both silos,then the top bands were welded to these while being held in position by a crane,these were then piped and ladders/platform added.
